Naima and Aqil Brown

Aqil Brown is a Representative in the Inayatiyya Inner School and one of the Inayatiyya of Greater Boston center leaders. Currently he is guiding an online class on the Githa papers of Hazrat Inayat Khan as well as offering basic meditation classes in person in his local community. He has participated in the Inayatiyya as an Inner School Retreat Guide, Inner School leaders training advisor and mentor, Suluk Gulzar student, Ziraat Farmer and Universal Worship Cherag. Outside of the Inayatiyya, he has been a researcher in biological systems sciences, a software creator and architect, and a restoration gardener.

Naima Brown teaches online internationally offering Meditation Classes and Retreats. She guides both group and individual retreats and is a mentor for the pioneering Sophic Whorl Retreat Guide Training. She served as Vice President of the Inayatiyya Inner school and was a founding mentor of Suluk Academy, a school of spiritual study. She is one of the Senior teachers and a Cherag of the Universal Worship for the local Greater Boston Inayatiyya Center. Professionally she worked in the field of early education with a special interest in art, story and nature study. The Abode has always been a spiritual home of renewal and community.
