
Jessica Bromby
Jessica is a healer, teacher and nature farm girl raised in the eastern townships of Quebec, on her ancestral farm Bromhaven. She is now living with her daughter Gigi and husband Christopher Akbar by the Gulf of Mexico with her two cats Bibi and Mani. They live by Rising Tide International where they host various programs, retreats, events through Heartway center.She has taught at numerous Sufi camps/retreats with children/families, teens and young adults, and all ages and generations including various programs and schools in North America and Europe. Ozarks sufi camp, Mendocino sufi camp, Zenith Institute and Abode sufi camps are some of the various places she’s served among others.She has recently taught at Mangrove Community School locally in Sarasota, where she helped start the Forest Friday program and ran the school garden. She also recently hosted a coming of age program for young women locally called Daughters of the Earth. Jessi is also an alumni instructor at Flying Deer Nature Center, where she worked for over a decade. She has run a parent / child program called Seedlings and Habibikins as well.She is a Cherag Interfaith Minister in the Universal Worship, where she served on the board for 5 years and has hosted all generations services with her husband for several years at Rising Tide and at the Parliament of the World Religions in Toronto, and Convocation in Virginia, and last year’s Abode 50th reunion.She is a Shafayat in the Sufi healing order and is presently co-teaching in the Foundations of Healing program online through Astana this spring season with other wonderful senior teachers. Jessi is a Zirat farmer and enjoys being/working with the elements and being in nature very much. She is an avid nature lover and naturalist, nature walks and hikes are top favorites. She is Representative and guide in the Inayatiyya. Dances of Universal Peace leader and creator of some recent dances. She has traveled worldwide on Sacred tours with her partner Christopher Akbar, the purpose often of these travels are for healing journeys and peace tours with Indigenous Grandmothers and AR Peace workers, and Sufi teachers worldwide, Turkey, India, Israel, New Zealand, Turtle Island Usa/Canada. She is presently an active Healing retreat guide and has a healing practice, mostly right now guiding group retreats and individual healing retreats online remotely or in person. She is a zikr leader recently hosting monthly zikrs at Rising Tide. She’s a singer and songwriter, mostly zikrs and sacred songs/chants for healing and love. She is an author of her upcoming book called In the Great Sun , a book for all children and creation debuting very soon.Right now she is above all a mother and receiving this sacred honor of motherhood as her sacred most precious gift of her baby Gigi and enjoying this sacred opportunity to the fullest.Jessica is the visionary and instigator, co-creator of this Caravan of Love Sufi camp and is working with the Abode, especially Lucas and Iromee to create and help host a special Sufi Camp for all of us this coming summer, we hope you join the Caravan of Hearts.Looking forward to being with you all soon and grateful for our beautiful family of the heart and loving community of friends on the sacred path of Love, Harmony and Beauty and in service of the One.
