La Befana Comes to the Abode 

Join us for an enchanting evening of sacred storytelling and community building as we welcome La Befana to the Abode. This cherished Italian legend comes alive in a celebration of tradition, generosity, and shared humanity.

La Befana, the kind-hearted yet mysterious figure of Italian folklore, is said to visit homes on the eve of Epiphany, bearing gifts for children in her perpetual search for the Christ Child. 

Her story is a tale of transformation, hope, second chances, and the power of simple acts of kindness.

Following the storytelling, participants will gather for a shared meal (simple Italian style dinner), offering participants a chance to reflect on the gifts we each bring to the world.

Whether or not you grew up leaving your stocking out for La Befana’s yearly visit—all are welcome to attend. The only requirement is an open heart and a spirit of curiosity. Come be part of this evening of imagination, connection, and sacred hospitality. 

Dina Gregory is a teacher, storyteller, community builder, and the creative heart behind La Befana’s Table, a space dedicated to fostering connection, belonging, and shared humanity through curious conversations, creative practices, stories, and service.  Inspired by the legend of La Befana, Dina weaves together old-world wisdom and modern reflection, inviting others to explore the magic of creativity and sacred hospitality.
